Happy St. Patrick's Day from Chicago

In Chicago they do the parade on Saturday closest to St. Patrick's Day and also dye the river green! I didn't catch the parade because I was getting some work done on our Australian websites, but I did manage to get some pictures of the bizarre green river. The obvious question is always... if they can dye it green on St. Patrick's Day, why can't they dye it blue the other 364 days of the year?
